New Thrilling Reality. Delivery World on GITEX Technology Week 2014

GITEX Technology Week 2014 (Gulf Information Technology Exhibition) was held from 12 to 16 October in Dubai World Trade Center (Dubai, UAE). The event is one of the largest events in the information and communication technologies in the world, and Delivery World representatives could not miss the chance to attend the show, especially, our main office is located in Dubai as well.

The event was first held in 1991 (initially it was named GITE), and occupied only 2 halls of the Dubai World Trade Center. The event kept growing, gained more importance and attracted participants and visitors from the new geographical areas. Nowadays the show occupies 10 exhibition halls, and is the largest show of the industry in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia.

This year GITEX presented its visitors the latest thrilling technologies, which included the latest software for phones and computers, unique internet protection systems, smartphones, and other technical gadgets equipped with the innovative functions and options, and etc. The event presented several latest phone applications, developed especially for Dubai tourists. For example detailed city map allowing to define geographic location, search, and make routes to destination, including cultural objects with detailed description; the application does not require connection to Internet. Apart of this, Delivery World representatives had an opportunity to virtually follow all exhibits of the show, and to follow up with educational events, that were held within the exhibition if they installed specially developed application to their mobile phone.

GITEX Technology Week 2014 gave Delivery World representatives not only the opportunity to see and try innovative future products, but to attend the interesting conferences and educational forums, and to hold business talks with the top management of the international companies, to discuss electronics productions and airfreight of such goods to the n market. Several contracts were signed on the show, and soon we will deliver several lots of electronics, equipped with the latest technologies, that was displayed on GITEX 2014.
