Prowling and Not Hiding Tigers and Dragons of the East: Attending International FIATA Congress in Singapore

15 to 19 October 2013 Delivery World's representatives took part in the 44^th International FIATA (International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations) Congress. The event held in Singapore and gathered about 800 participants representing forwarding and logistics companies from 72 countries. The aim of holding this annual congress is to coordinate the work of international transportation and forwarding companies, to protect their interest, to establish partnership relations of the involved businesses, and is aimed to improve the quality of the transportation and forwarding services provided.

Last time the Congress was held in Singapore in 1991 and since then the logistics industry in this city-state dramatically stepped forward in its development. Today Singapore is the joining logistic unit of its region offering full range of cargo transportation services and is widely known for its quality and reliability. Global logistics market players from Asia received unique basement for a new step forward on the world market.

For the first time the 44^th International Congress hosted mini forums, where the top managers of the forwarding and logistics companies touched upon such issues as security of cargo transportation on the Middle Eastern and African states, transformation for e-documents when rendering logistics services in Singapore and many others. Delivery World's representatives took part in the above forums and shared with the foreign partners their practical expertise gained by our company for over 10 years of fruitful work in international airfreight forwarding.

Five days program of the International FIATA Congress was filled with the different various events, where the participants have been given not only the opportunity to hold business talks, but to communicate in informal environment, which facilitates establishing new partnership relations like nothing else. For example, Golf Tournament was one of the events of the program. Delivery World's representatives got a chance to compete with the other participants and to enjoy the stunning views of Singapore.
