Fabulous Experience: Delivery World on the 10th World Cargo Symposium

The World Cargo Symposium (WCS) is the annual the largest and the most important event of the industry organized by IATA. Each of the WCS is aimed to bring key players of the entire air cargo supply industry together.

This year the event has been held from 15 to 17th of March in Intercontinental Hotel in Berlin, Germany. The event gathered over 1,000 representatives of the leading air cargo companies, and over 40 exhibitors under one roof. The event was focused on the value of the air cargo.

WCS 2016 included several plenary sessions, specialized tracks, workshops, executive summits and important aspects related to technologies, innovations, customs, security, operations, sustainability, and much more.

Representatives of Delivery World attended several events held within the framework of WCS 2016, and took part in the Air Cargo Europe Workshop, held on the second day of the event. Four-hour workshop concentrated on the issues related to air cargo industry problems mainly in Europe, yet touched upon the issues related to the emerging markets as well, the participants discussed air cargo situation in the terms of the global downturn, resulting in weak global trade, high fuel prices over the last years. The participants, including Delivery World's experts discussed the challenges faced by the industry at the moment, shared experience and expertise, and attempted to identify the solutions for business model adaptation in the new economic environment.
