Ample Opportunities Time. Attending Trans Caspian 2014 in Baku

From 12 to 14 June Baku (Azerbaijan) hosted the 13th International Exhibition Transport, Transit and Logistics (TransCaspian 2014). Representatives of Delivery World attended the event which is the most import transportation forum on Caucasus. This year the exhibition was attended by 104 companies of 16 countries, which exceeds the last year's index for 40%. The number of foreign exhibitors increased as well, half of the participants were the companies from abroad. All this shows constantly growing interest of the logistics companies to this region and of their interest to enter it.

Transportation industry in Azerbaijan changed dramatically during the last 10 years, and all those chances were only for better. Currently the region's transportation industry is highly developed due to implemented large innovative projects. Significant amounts that have been invested to the improvement of the air transport, and 6 international airports with modern air-terminal complexes were built in the country. Fully renewed aircraft and helicopter fleets now fully correspond to the latest international requirements,

The visitors of TransCaspian 2014 could get familiar with the modern trends of the transportation industry, including transportation and logistics services in whole. For Delivery World professionals attending this show was the step of strategic importance, as we regularly deliver cargos to Azerbaijan, and we have to be aware of the latest changes and news of the region. During the event we held business meetings with existing and potential customers, and signed several new contracts for long-term cooperation.

Thanks to TransCaspian 2014 we expanded our knowledge with consideration of Caucasian Region specifics, which is of utmost importance to the logistics professionals, as Azerbaijan with its favorable geographic location, and growing economic potential plays the role of the global transportation and logistics center.
